On the Unsubtle Art of Decapitation

I have a lot to say about the Kathy Griffin / fake-beheaded-Trump brouhaha, and started to write my Thoughtful Take on the matter. But life is short, time is scarce, and 500 awful things have already happened since then, so instead, I invite you to spend 15 minutes watching Karita Mattila, as Salome, singing to the head of John the Baptist. They happen to be the most riveting 15 minutes of music (and singing, and performed desire, hate, and revenge) I know.
